Yes. In addition to the full cost of your rental, we will also collect your fully refundable security deposit when you pick up your vehicle. The amount of your security deposit is equal to the full amount of your rental fee. Your security deposit will be refunded in full after you return the vehicle, unless there are any unplanned charges (e.g., refilling the fuel tank, repairing damage to the vehicle, or assessing a late return fee.)
If your vehicle is returned after the contracted return date, we will assess an additional fee for each day late of 120% of the current daily rate.
We offer penalty-free rental cancellations up to 48 hours prior to your contracted pick-up time. Cancellations within 48 hours of your pick-up time will incur a $75 fee. To cancel your reservation, please contact our rental office at 865-675-3061. We will need the reference number from your confirmation email in order to process the cancellation.
When you pick up your rental vehicle, we will place a hold on your credit card. Please refer to our rental agreement terms and conditions for the hold amount required. When you return your vehicle, the hold will be released and your card will be charged. Please know that your bank may take up to two weeks to post the released credit hold to your card and we are not liable for any issues caused by credit hold processing.
We use market data to ensure our rental rates are competitive in the luxury rental space. Your total rental rate is determined by the details you provide when you make your reservation. The total quoted rate typically includes taxes and surcharges, but may not include all fees. When you pick up and return your vehicle, we will go over all charges with you to make sure you understand them.
If you are involved in an accident, please dial 911 to notify the police. Next, we ask that you call us at 865-675-3061, so we are aware of the incident. After that, we recommend calling your personal auto insurance provider to start a claim. Once all parties are notified and a claim has been established, please be sure to complete a Parkside Car & Van Rental Accident/Incident Report. A link to that form can be found in the confirmation email you received when you picked up the vehicle.
Yes. An accident report is required for any incident regardless of whether additional coverage is purchased.
Even when your insurance company pays a claim, there are often uninsured elements of the claim for which the driver is responsible. These charges typically include items such as your deductible and administrative fees.
We understand how frustrating unexpected fees can be. That’s why we make every effort to include taxes and surcharges in your total quoted cost. Nevertheless, please keep in mind that some fees, such as insurance, refueling, energy recovery, or additional surcharges, may not be included at the time of reservation.

Yes. However, customers who do not have a valid U.S. driver’s license and current auto insurance from the U.S. or Canada are required to purchase Collision Protection and Supplemental Liability insurance. We do allow you to purchase those coverages from a third-party, as long as you can provide proof of coverage when you pick up your rental.
No. A major credit card is required to pay for your rental. (Please note, debit cards are not accepted.)
In order to qualify our customers as responsible drivers, we require proof of primary liability coverage. We recommend checking with your insurance company to make sure your coverage extends to the type of vehicle you are renting.
To rent a vehicle from Parkside Car & Van Rental, you must be 25 or older and possess a valid driver’s license. You must also provide a major credit card and proof of valid automobile insurance.
Yes. You have the option to rent by the day, week, or even up to one month. Our extended contracts are great for customers who want to test a vehicle out before purchasing it. Please ask your rental agent for more information.
